Richard Higgins began his exploration
of personal growth, esoteric and metaphysical subjects at the age of 21.

During the last 30 years he has been exposed a wide spectrum of teachers and belief systems.
In parallel with his career as a film and television producer and director Richard studied the work of many metaphysical teachers, and has interviewed or met amongst others Neale Donald Walsh; Deepak Chopra; Diane Cooper and David Icke.
He has studied Gregg Braden's work; Drunvalo Melchizedek's Flower of Life teachings; and Gary Smith's Sacred Merkaba Techniques.  He learnt Shamanic work from, amongst others, Michael Owen of the Twisted Hair tradition, and with Incan Shamans from Peru.  Richard met J.Z. Knight and worked with Ramtha’s School of Enlightenment both in Seattle and in South Africa.  He also co-authored the South African best selling numerology book Human Pin Code in 2002.  By returning to the basics of Numerology, Creation Theory and Sacred Geometry, he has since developed his own unique method called Transpersonal Numerology.

After three decades in the film and television industry, Richard closed his production company to devote himself full time to his Numerology and to Family Constellations - the work developed by German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger.  He facilitates workshops through his Family Healing Circle and also offers training in both modalities.

Coming Home!

Okay! Okay!

Let me just say right up front to all those special
friends who reminded me that Africa was in my blood
and who insisted that I would not stay in the UK -

"You were right! We are coming home!"

Our sojourn in the UK has been an experience of note and we have absolutely no regrets about having uprooted our lives to go on a bit of an adventure. But the reconnection to the land of our grandparent's has now been done (more of that in an upcoming editorial) - and so it is time to come home to the soil on which we were born.

One of my hopes before coming to the UK was to have the opportunity to see and maybe even walk in a crop circle, and that dream came true!
A new circle appeared in a oilseed rape crop near Swindon in Wiltshire on Saturday 12th May and we heard about it the next day. Being less than an hour's drive away from where we live in Cheltenham, Ronnie and I were able to jump into the car and drive down on the Monday.

Thanks to Google maps I was able to track a route which would get us to within a reasonable walking distance from the circle, without driving through the actual farm. One hears varying reports about the reactions of farmers to “nutters” like us descending on them, so I wanted to arrive as unobtrusively as possible.

No-one was around when we arrived but we could see that there had been quite a few visitors - judging by the flattened grass around the field. We couldn’t find an obvious way into the actual formation, so we very slowly worked our way through the plants, making sure not to damage any. I was surprised to discover that the oilseed rape plants grow up to chest height.

We spent about 20 minutes walking in the formation and having a close look at how the stalks of the plant were bent. I had read many times that the plants are not damaged in anyway when these phenomena are created, and they continue to grow afterwards.  This was indeed the case, although we could see where some stalks were broken by people having walked through the area.

Our exploration was interrupted when a tractor arrived and the farmer gestured in no uncertain terms that we were not welcome and should leave the field immediately. Fortunately we were out of earshot range,
but it was not hard to imagine what he was saying.

So we didn’t hang around!

Fortunately we were able to find the entrance that must have been created by earlier visitors, and so were able to “escape” quite easily – although we got rather wet as it had rained the night before!

Back home we read on the website that the farmer was planning to spray the fields with chemicals on that day and had asked that no-one visit farm. So we assured ourselves that he hadn’t really not wanted us there, but was actually only interested in our safety!

Family Constellations Workshop 2
Sunday 1st July
Farewell Maggie!
We decided to break this year's Family Constellations Training Intensive in April into 2 X 3 day workshops instead of the 6 days straight which we have done in the past. We hoped that it would allow for better assimilation of the material and more integration time for the personal processing that takes place.

We held the training at the venue Panacea in Boksburg North, belonging to my dear friends Philip and Maureen, who were the most gracious of hosts.

Family Constellations Intensive 1

Over the years I have noticed that very few students who do the Family Constellations training actually go on to facilitate the work in a group environment.  A greater number of them incorporate the theory and techniques into their existing practises and modalities, or do constellations in a one-on-one setting.

I have further noticed that there is an increasing demand from clients for the work to be done over the telephone or, more usually, Skype.  I have garnered much experience in doing the constellations in this way during my time in the UK and I strongly believe that this way of working is going to rocket in popularity in the coming years.

The first 3 day Training Intensive therefore covered the Basic Theory and Practice of Family Constellations with a special focus on how to apply that knowledge in a one-on-one setting - whether being done
face-to-face or remotely. It worked out remarkably well and the students were already starting to constellate on day two.

Family Constellations Intensive 2

The second 3 day Training Intensive explored the deeper patterns which are prevalent in a family system, with a focus on adequately resourcing clients and how to avoid re-traumatising them. Among other things, we learnt how to apply the work in small groups, as well as explored techniques that could be shared when demonstrating the work in a non-therapeutical environment.

We had exceptional groups on both occassions and I am really confident in the new generation of facilitators that is emerging. Maureen very kindly provided lunch for everyone each day, and it was a Soul expanding experience from beginning to end.
